Pakistan Vs South Africa Warm Up – Result

Pakistan will not like this loss. Remember, South Africa lack power-hitting after No. 7, so they just had to eke out a couple of wickets to put pressure but they will sit back and understand why they couldn’t do that. A nice practice game then for the Proteas. They will acknowledge this may not have been possible had RVD not dug deep, especially after Bavuma consumed a lot of balls. The middle-order looks pretty fine with RVD, Klaasen and Miller taking the roles. But the top and lower-order is a bit of worry with Quinny not in great touch and the tail being slightly long. Maybe this will be the pattern from Proteas to address the batting depth issue by taking the game deep and look to finish strong with wickets in hand. Of course Markram didn’t bat today. They wouldn’t be too concerned about the bowlers getting hit at the end today because they do have quality in Nortje, Rabada. They will hope Shamsi’s groin injury scare isn’t serious. They definitely do have a potent bowling attack. So that’s it then from the warm-ups. We will have two days of Group A, B action tomorrow and day after and begin Super 12 on Saturday. Join us for a fun ride. See you!
