West Indies Vs Pakistan 2nd Test Day 3- Result

Fawad Alam’s and Pakistan’s day as they keep themselves in with a chance of squaring the series at 1-1. They resumed at 212 for 4, but eight balls into the day, the problem around the bowler’s run-up flared up, resulting in another break in play. This coming after play was delayed by 90 minutes this morning. It meant that 63 overs were scheduled for the day and Fawad Alam took charge. He saw three of his partners fall cheaply. At 231 for 7, West Indies were bracing themselves for an early finish, but the left-hander marshalled the tail, adding 71 runs for the last three wickets and bringing up a 5th Test hundred for himself. Asked to bat for around 90 minutes, West Indies lost their top-order – the openers to Shaheen and Chase to Faheem. Bonner has looked scratchy, but managed to survive, so did the nightwatchman. Right, a maximum of 196 overs left in this Test (weather and light permitting) – Pakistan still have 263 runs in the bank and they’re the team which need to keep pushing towards victory. A couple of partnerships for the hosts and they could get close to Pakistan’s 302, giving themselves a big chance to save the match. Day 4 could well prove to be the defining day of this Test. Do join us at 9:30 am local for the first ball. Until then, cheers and bye..
